Students will learn factual information about the different components of the Civil War.  As they progress through the unit, they will learn of the reasons why it began and how specific events and people affected the outcome of the Civil War. Through key concepts of sectionalism, emancipation and technology, students will have a thorough historical understanding of  the Civil War.
