The Military Advantages of the North and the South
After participating in a class discussion, using the Hotlist and the internet, students will research, the military advantages of the North and South during the Civil War, concentrating in three categories; population, factory production and railroad mileage. Students will then create their own bar graph using Excel, using the data they collected. Students will then write a paragraph, using Word, explaining their prediction of who will win the war from the results. This will be assessed by an instructor created rubric.
